Her father died in a steel mill accident and she was raised by her mother who made her living as a potter. I do all my own darkroom work producing silver gelatin prints on fiber-based photographic papers. Mia Turi is an Ohio-born painter working in oils who recently relocated back to her home state after living in Nevada for over 25 years. Those years were critical in her growth as a plein air artist as she painted the dramatic desert expanses, mountains and explored extreme atmospheric perspective. She is now focusing on retooling that experience to paint the geography and geology of Ohio.
Graduated from the Ohio state University in 1980 and 81 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Arts Education degree. I also worked on a Masters of Fine Arts degree at OSU but did not complete the program. Instead I pursued an entrepreneurial effort in the area of adult continuing education. This effort took me to Chicago where I managed the Discovery Center and Roosevelt University’s Computer Learning Centers. I then pursued a career in information technology where I worked for several different companies including CompuServ, Worldcom and Nationwide Insurance. I retired in 2017.
Primarily I am a landscape photographer, though I love including people in my work enjoying the natural world around them, as well as street photography when I am in new or exciting locations. I also enjoy night photography, so I try to find places where light pollution is minimal to better bring out the majesty of the night sky.…

My name is Spencer Vanderzee. I’m a self-taught artist based in Cincinnati, where I’ve had a studio in the West End for over a decade. My work is rooted in dream imagery — a kind of visual mapping of memory palaces and subconscious architecture. I paint and draw from intuition, often working in isolation, following internal logic over formal training.
Zach Van Horn was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio where he currently resides. He earned his BFA in Drawing and Painting from The Ohio State University in 2013 and earned his MFA from The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 2018. He has shown work in Philadelphia and New York City. Though primarily a painter, he also plays in other mediums including sculpture, writing, music production, and video. Zach has also run five marathons (the Columbus Marathon twice and the Philadelphia Marathon three times).
My studio practice resembles the night sky where each star represents an idea I am interested in exploring. Among these ideas include but are not limited to consciousness, alchemy, technology, memories, and dreams. After studying these stars more closely, I can begin to draw connections between them, forming constellations. My work is the visual representation of these constellations. As the universe expands towards infinity then hopefully my work will grow towards infinity.
