The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

I am a 1981 graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art majoring in Drawing and Photography. I have exhibited in Cleveland OH, Akron OH, New York City, Pittsburgh PA, San Diego CA, and Madrid Spain among others. I was included in the Cleveland Museum of Art’s “May Show.”

Upon graduation from CIA I began a career in the graphic arts industry. Positions I have held include art director, gallery director, and production manager of Publications at the Cleveland Museum of Art.

I have had my art published in the publications for the exhibitions “One Life: Stories Told Through Photography” and “Present Tense, Contemporary Art in Ohio.” I am also the author and designer of the book “Goldmine 45 RPM Picture Sleeve Price Guide.”

I live in Bath OH with my wife, 4 dogs, 3 cats, 4 birds and a fish.

Artist Statement

My work reflects the interplay of light, texture and shadow. It often focuses on a part of the whole. Two of my influences are Ray Metzger and Caravaggio.
