The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Photo of Bob Peck

Bob Peck began his art career at an early age admiring the graffiti art that he saw scattered around the city. Years of being a bystander in the subculture went by and he continued to draw what he saw in his environment and followed the graffiti “trails” to places with densely marred walls full of this urban art.

Rooted in formalism, my paintings are an exploration of color and composition. I tend to start with a minimal palette and allow it to expand as the painting progresses. I do not use studies or sketches for my paintings but rather allow them to develop based on images that exist only in my mind.

Maria Perme

Visual Storyteller, Artist

My creative focus and passion is visual story telling: capturing and creating photos that represent the inextricable connection to all and to highlight the innate essence of God/Divine Spirit in all beings.  My style is casual yet professional in nature, welcoming and real. Nature is my biggest teacher, and I am continually surprised, amazed, and enthralled by the Earth’s resiliency and beauty and what she teaches.

Photo of Lori M Perry

As a kid, I was frequently in trouble at school because I preferred drawing on the back of my work papers rather than doing the task at hand.  My degrees include a B.S. in Design from the University of Cincinnati and a B.S. in Art Education from the University of Akron. While teaching in the Canton City Schools, I earned National Board Certification in art. I have been employed as a commercial artist, an elementary art teacher and a university professor teaching studio classes and art history. I currently live on a farm with my husband and cats, where I paint in a converted barn/studio. Trained as an illustrator, I prefer watercolors, pastels and mixed media.
