The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Eli Kessler is an artist who approaches sculpture as a way to examine particular artifacts, rituals, and cultural phenomena. Within his process, ideology and iconography are cut up, rematerialized, and arranged in an attempt to find meaning. His work has led him to investigate methods such as metal fabrication, woodworking, video, casting, and digital fabrication. His work has been on view in Cleveland OH, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh PA, Newton MA, Tyler TX, Washington D.C., New York NY, South Korea, and Venice, Italy. He earned a BFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University and an MFA in sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University

I’m an ecologist, photographer, and outdoor enthusiast. I offer fine art photography and aim to teach my audience about science and nature in the process. I also offer a range of commercial photography services and am a husband and father of three boys.
Tracy Kichinka

Tracy Kichinka is a Cleveland-based photographer, writer, and artist. Her specialty is candid portraits of concerts & music festivals. In addition to having an Associate of Arts from Cuyahoga Community College (with an emphasis on Digital Art & Communications), she also graduated from Cleveland State University with a degree in Psychology. She is an advocate for suicide prevention and mental illness awareness. Some of her photography can be found on the annual reports of Greater Cleveland NAMI and Braided Way .
ZÉ KIELWAGEN is an artist from Brazil based in Oberlin, Ohio. His artwork circulates internationally in venues such as the Ghetto Biennale of Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Rio de Janeiro Museum of Modern Art; Queens Museum in New York; DocLisboa Festival of Portugal; Open Source Gallery in New York; and others. He works as an Assistant Professor at the Studio Art Department of Oberlin College.
Thomas ‘Fletcher’ Kildren is a creative powerhouse from NYC, now living in the gritty Rust Belt.
Originally trained as an illustrator at Parsons School of Design , he made the jump to digital as a Photo Editor at the New York Post. He soon taught himself other disciplines such as 3D modeling & animation as well as SFX on film sets.

Daniel J. King is a visual artist and educator with a professional career encompassing college level arts and community workshops, arts administration, higher education marketing & communications, and web content design and management.
I an a lifelong Ohioan who’s early work was created using the silkscreen process. Unfortunately, the inks and solvents I used made me very ill and I was forced to abandon my fine art work for a career as a graphic designer. During that time, desktop computers became available and my professional work utilized these new technologies. Upon retirement as a graphic designer, I resumed my art practice.

Barbara Bryn Klare is an artist and curator based in San Francisco and SE Ohio. She received a BA in geology and studio art/art history from Oberlin College and an MA Fine Art Merit from University for the Creative Arts. Her artwork has been shown nationally and internationally including Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco, Touchstone Gallery in DC, Die Kunstschaffenden in Linz, Austria and Ruskin Gallery in Cambridge UK.
Anthony Kleem was born and raised in Ohio. He currently still lives in Ohio with his wife and their five children. Anthony specializes in folk and American art and landscapes. His artwork is influenced by New England, Eastern Pennsylvania and the rural Midwest.

Kyle Knapp is a multidisciplinary artist and designer based in Columbus, Ohio. His creative practice spans a wide range of analog and digital media including illustration, painting, printmaking, graphic design, and animation.
Raised just outside of Columbus, Ohio, Jeffrey grew up on a fully functional family farm along the Big Darby Creek, and, at a young age, he fell in love with the picturesque beauty of the landscape. More recently, Jeffrey has focused on painting realistic landscapes and cityscapes and often includes a complex arrangement of buildings and natural elements.

For eight years—including a year on the Art District on Santa Fe Board—I dedicated myself to promoting the arts in Denver. While this work has primarily taken the form of photography, I have also provided social media and graphic design services to artists and galleries. My wife and I relocated to Youngstown in February 2025. I hope to continue my art advocacy and photography work here.
