The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

Anthony Kleem grew up in a small college town near Cleveland, Ohio, one of eight children. He lived with his parents and seven siblings. His family encouraged his interest in the arts from an early age. He later attended the University of Akron, where he earned a Master’s in Education. Before becoming widely known as an artist, he worked as a social studies teacher at North Royalton High School in Ohio. Kleem’s art career began in earnest around 2001, inspired after seeing folk art calendars and feeling motivated to try painting himself. Since then, his work has been featured in galleries, admired by broad audiences, and appear on calendars, jigsaw puzzles, posters, and home décor sold nationwide.

Artist Statement
