The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.
For more information, contact Kathy Signorino, artist programs director, at kathy.signorino@oac.ohio.gov or 614-728-6140.

Claudia Esslinger

Professor of Art

Claudia Esslinger is a visual artist working experimentally with digital media, both photography and video, as well as sculptural installations and prints. A common thread throughout her projects is a poetic exploration of inequities in both humanity and nature. She has been the recipient of seven Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Excellence awards and has held numerous residencies. In 2019 she was the director of the Kenyon-Rome program.

Barry Gunderson lives in Gambier, Ohio, where he has taught sculpture at Kenyon College since 1974. He retired from teaching in 2015 but has not retired from his studio work. Interpretations of water, contorted figures with peculiar thought bubbles, sculptural architecture based on Northern English row houses, French Gardens, and just “Useless Metal Objects” have kept him busy in the studio.

After over 40 years working in (and teaching) film/video production, I returned to my first love of sculpture and to my childhood home of Gambier, Ohio.
