The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

Since taking her first classes at the Cleveland Museum of Art as a child, Nora Keenan has been inspired to live a life of creativity. Nora fell in love with nature, growing up on the shores of Lake Erie in Euclid, Ohio, and has always sought to bring the natural world into her work. While in high school, Nora volunteered with the Student Conservation Association (SCA) at Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in Bayfield, Wisconsin. She later graduated from Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, where she was an active member of the fine arts department.

Nora completed a dual degree in Studio Art and Art History at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania before studying interior design and architectural drafting at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC. Nora then relocated to Hawaii, where she spent a decade exploring – and being inspired by – the natural beauty of the Hawaiian islands. Currently residing in Cleveland, Nora is focused on her studio practice and hoping to share the joy of her explorations with others through her fine art acrylic paintings.

Since relocating back to Ohio, Nora has exhibited in several juried group exhibitions – including the Acrylic International Biennial at the Kenosha Public Museum in Wisconsin during summer 2024. Other galleries that have shown her recent work include BAYarts (Bay Village, OH), Ashtabula Art Center (Ashtabula, OH), Cuyahoga Valley Art Center (Cuyahoga Falls, OH), Valley Art Center (Chagrin Falls, OH) and the Hamilton County Artists’ Association (Noblesville, Indiana).
