The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio
After years of pursuing various forms of art, I’ve landed home photographing views from my backyard: the Greatest Lake Erie. I combine these photos, rearrange them, turn them upside down, stack them, flip-flop them and have them printed on large metal panels up to 4’x5′ that bounce light back to viewers creating an ethereal experience. From afar, they’re abstract patterns of light and color, totems, Rorschach tests. From close up, you may discover faces, animal, body parts, insects. The natural beauty and wonder presents itself to me daily but I have to act fast; the colors of the sky and the water and the formations of the clouds and beach can change drastically within seconds. I now add the dates and times, sometimes down to the second, to my photo montages to show how quickly the transformations occurred. There, then gone! But I’m still here, clicking photos and mooshing them together digitally, documenting these gorgeous, fleeting scenes on large metal panels. I’ve discovered my creative passion right outside my door: little Great Lake Erie…all from my Madison, Ohio, back yard…where my art records astounding wonders of science and nature from blazing clouds, to frilly ice “lily pads,” to waves spraying up red from the sunset, to rare cloud formations, and everything in between.
