The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio
I majored in art in high school, then took art courses in college, which was followed by a 27-year career as a graphic artist with the Dayton Daily News, in Ohio. Now that I’ve retired, my passion is to paint my way. I painted traditionally for years (see ‘The Old Neighborhood’.) Now I want to push the envelope a bit, switching from acrylic to watercolors and pencils. I’m using these two mediums to develop a loose, gestural, almost illustrative style I call ‘pawing’, or ‘Lively Line’, a combination of painting and drawing. UPDATE: I’ve moved on from ‘Lively Line’, but will eventually return in some fashion.
My current goal is to be recognized as one of the finest watercolorists in the world. In my mind I’m already there, but it remains for me to prove it.
