The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Alysha Auerbach

Alysha Auerbach received her Bachelor of Fine Art’s degree with a concentration in ceramics and sculpture from the University of Central Florida. Upon graduation, she apprenticed with Logan Wannamaker in Taos, New Mexico. Alysha currently resides in Columbus, Ohio with her husband Dylan. When not in the studio, she enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors.
Artist Statement
I enjoy making utilitarian pottery for everyday use. I not only concentrate on the functional aspects of my wares, but I also spend much of my time focusing on the aesthetic. I am inspired by textures and patterns, and much of my work has textural elements to it. I enjoy faceting and cutting away at the clay with different materials or using handcrafted stamps to create subtle textures. I aim to make pots that will add a measure of beauty and comfort into the homes of all who use them.
