The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Zoë Brigley (also Zoë Brigley Thompson) is originally from Wales, but has lived in Ohio for 10 years. She is the author of three books of poetry published by Bloodaxe: Hand & Skull (2019), Conquest (2012), and The Secret (2007). All three are UK Poetry Book Society Recommendations. Poems from the collections have won an Eric Gregory Award for the best British poets under 30, have been longlisted for the International Dylan Thomas Prize for the best international writers under 40, and were Forward Prize commended. She also has a collection of nonfiction essays: Notes from a Swing State: Writing from Wales and America (Parthian, 2019).
Her writing appears in publications like Poetry Ireland Review, Poetry Review, Chicago Review, Australian Book Review, PN Review, Women’s Studies Quarterly, Copper Nickel, and Poetry Wales.
She also researches literature, film, trauma, and violence against women and minorities. She co-edited the academic volume Feminism, Literature, and Rape Narratives (with Sorcha Gunne). She podcasts on anti-violence advocacy at SinisterMyth.com .
She is a contributing editor and committee member for Wales’ leading poetry journal, Poetry Wales, and she is currently guest editing the summer issue. Her current projects include co-editing (with Kristian Evans and Rob Mackenzie) a forthcoming issue of Magma Poetry: the topic will be “dwelling,” or how we manage to live ethically with our environment and each other. Her co-edited anthology 100 Poems to Save the Earth will be out in 2021.
