The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Tom Megalis

A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Tom has been creative force in art, Television, film and radio for over 25 years.
Tom’s television resume as writer, director and animator includes work for Nickelodeon shows KABLAM! and the Amanda Show. Tom has also created TV projects for MTV, HBO, Comedy Central and FOX. Megalis is currently the voice of Captain Caveman for Warner Brothers new Flintstones animation “Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs.”
As an independent filmmaker, Tom ‘s work has been shown at Sundance, New York Expo and Chicago International Film Festival, Hiroshima Animation Festival and The Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France. He has been awarded grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, The Heinz Endowment Grant and the Southern Film Circuit. The feature film Tom wrote, directed and starred called “Sonny Days Youngstown Shakedown 2 “ won
Best Comedy Feature at the New Hope Film Festival in 2013.
On radio Megalis has written and performed on the legendary Pittsburgh radio station WDVE and co hosted his own morning radio show on WMMS in Cleveland. Currently Tom Megalis is co hosting the popular pod cast “Whats So Funny “.
Megalis’ mixed media fine art is collected internationally. His work has been featured at The Zanesville Museum Of Art, Westmoreland Museum of American Art, High Museum of Art and in numerous solo shows and group shows.
Tom’s Recent public art commissions include: Multiple large-scale pieces for the national restaurant Choollaah Indian BBQ , several murals for the Cleveland real- estate group Greystone and a large scale installation for SkidMark garage in Ohio.
