The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.
For more information, contact Kathy Signorino, artist programs director, at kathy.signorino@oac.ohio.gov or 614-728-6140.

Bio

Sydney Nicole Kay is a nationally known multimedia artist primarily working in photography and printmaking. Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, she received her Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2021 and is currently an MFA Candidate at Kent State University for Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking and Photography. She has won numerous awards including residencies at Visual Arts Center of Richmond and Zygote Press. She was also awarded with a Denbo Fellowship, Bivens Fellowship, and a Red Bull micro-grant. She is always interested in new ideas and processes or what she would call “learning to fold the blanket in a different way”. Her goal is to create work that communicates her stories and to share the stories of those who are often under-represented.
