The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Artist Statement

I am Dichotomy Incarnate.

I carry conflicting truths in each hand and sometimes on my shoulders.

My current work explores concepts of identity that we either put on ourselves or have been placed onto us. Demands are made by our culture, family, community & traditions. I can choose to engage my agency. I could revolt and reject it or I passively agree apathetically and allow the choices to be made for me. I seem to encompass it all. I’m a walking illustration of Jung’s duality of man and I’m okay with that.

I hope to create pieces that engage the viewer to have empathy, perhaps seeing themselves mirrored back, and hopefully, bring a sense of humor in an absurd, contradictory world.
