The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

My name is Sierra Amanda and ART is my passion!

I was blessed to know my true passion at a young age. At the impressionable age of 10 I knew that art would be “my everything” in life. Although I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, I have lived and traveled all over the United States. I have also been afforded the opportunity to travel to a few countries as an adult and observed the beauty that is call ART.  While other kids played outside, I would be in my little corner of what I called heaven, drawing all the images in my head, such as the interesting people, places and things, I would come across in life or on television.

I have an Associates of Art Degree from Columbus State Community College, and since leaving school I have continued to learn and hone in on my craft. I was hailed as one of two, up and coming emerging artist at The Lakeshore Art Festival in 2017 and since then, I have had pieces exhibited in The Daylight Art Collective Gallery, Westerville, OH., Roygibiv Art Gallery, Columbus, OH., and The Birdie Gallery, Worthington, OH. I was also selected to have a piece showcased in the Ohio State Fairgrounds Cox Fine Arts Center and Exhibit and a finalist in the Short North 4th street Mural Project.

Art is my escape from the real world. It’s my safe space to cultivate my innermost intimate feelings. Seeing what I can create out of thin air and sharing it with the world, just amazes me. Touching my work helps me to see the vision I want to make, and the feelings I want to convey. I enjoy working with all types of medians, materials, surfaces and colors. Feeling the organic materials and textures, opens my mind up to an infinite number of possibilities while feeling and expressing myself through each piece to tell a story, my story. Having someone look at my work and feel everything I felt in that moment is the biggest goal I have when I go to showcase my artistry to the world.

Art is my love Language. It’s a language that I speak from my soul to communicate to the world.

So I want my artwork to speak to each soul it touches……..

Artist Statement

At the age of ten, I fell in love with art. Although I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, I have lived all over the United States. It has been my ultimate goal in life to be able to express my inner self in a way that people of all walks of life could understand. ART is not a hobby to me, it is my LIFE! I live, eat, and breathe my work whether it’s painting, photography or drawing. I love expressing my feeling and creativity through my work. I feel that the Lord has blessed me with this talent and I would love to share it with the world. I enjoy creating pieces that have an array of bright color in an abstract, modern or expressionism style. My technique of Mix Media help me construct each work with a stark contrast of solid colors along with different textures and materials in order to create an amazing piece of art.
