Bio
I am an Ohio native. Art has always been a strong part of my upbringing. My father taught me photography from a young age and it has always been a true passion for me. He participated in art shows and events in his youth and always encouraged me in mine.
In 2005 I earned my Associate of Arts in photography and a Certificate of Photographic Technologies in 2004 from Sinclair Community College. Since then I have taken courses to keep current in technology, techniques & styles.
Hardwork & sacrifices have led me to realizing a large part of my dreams by starting my own photography business in 2020. Ricki Lee Creations LLC specializes in fine art photography. Although it is mostly online sales (http://www.RickiLeeCreations.com), I do sell at quite a few shows and events in Ohio. I am the sole owner, artist & photographer in my locally run business. I have won awards for my art and received honorable mentions as well as being published multiple times. I have also won scholarships based on my artworks.
I enjoy developing programs & teaching others to spread the love of art & photography. Encouraging others to positively express themselves is important to me.
Artist Statement
Photography has been a passion for me ever since I was very young. Art has always been a big part of my life growing up.
I specialize in fine art photography, showcasing floral, nature & wildlife images. My subject matter does expand beyond nature themes, but my inspiration flourishes in natural themes.
I hold an A.A. in Fine Art as well as certificates in Photographic Technologies and Digital Photography. I keep up-to-date in Photographic technology & techniques.
I also teach photography courses in local communities to educate & encourage artists of all ages to understand photography & art while creating better images. I have designed a Junior Photography program with the Tipp City Library in hopes of getting younger children interested in art and expressing themselves positively.
As an artist I am always looking for new ideas, fun styles & inspiration wherever I go. I will never stop learning, teaching and doing.
