The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Artist Statement
My love of photography goes back to my childhood, sitting in my dad’s office looking at the fabulous and fantastic images in Life and National Geographic magazines. Studying the photographs, feeling the emotions, I wondered about the stories beyond the captions. Though my style of photography is far different than that of those early magazines, I am inspired and influenced by those images.
Mood is my passion; minimal is my subject. I enjoy exploring the details of the scene before me. But I try never to miss an opportunity to photograph all the beautiful things that cross my path. I work with a digital camera but in a classic style, appreciating the realism of the medium. Using the natural elements of the surrounding environment I capture the mood and emotion of the moment as I remember it.
