The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Molly Mraz
Ramona MrazArtist Statement
I am a multidisciplinary, self-taught artist and writer. My practice centers on watercolor and acrylic landscape paintings as well as essays and poems that explore narratives of the Earth and human-land relationships. With a background in ecology, natural resource management, and ecological restoration, most of my experience and knowledge comes from academic contexts. But while academia remains inaccessible and rooted in colonial epistemologies, artistic expression provides another mode of science communication: one more authentic in its humanness. My artistic practice is an extension of observation and mindfulness, and a personal place of connecting with the natural world. It is also a method of storytelling that transcends disciplines, cultures, and political boundaries. I utilize my creative expression and ecological knowledge to tell the stories of the landscapes and their entwinement with the human experience. My aim is to break down the divide among the human and the more-than-human, revealing our inseparable nature.
In October 2026, I will begin a walk around the world in a storytelling project known as The Collective Canvas, where I will further explore narratives of human-land connections through art during a trek across 5 continents and approximately 56,000 km.
