The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Mary Avalos-Miller: Fine Artist
Mary has lived in Columbus, OH most of her life. She has a degree in graphic communication and always enjoyed her painting classes at Columbus College of Art & Design. Mary worked in a digital photo lab, restoring photos and manipulating images for various photographers, before working as a graphic designer. Her work experiences have had a great influence in the development of her artistic skills and influences. She has enjoyed her involvement in group exhibitions with Hayley Gallery, Pasos De Art and Columbus Museum of Art Women’s Board.
Subjects charged with saturated color and intricate shapes have always informed my art. Sometimes the images that capture me are disparate, even quotidian – but when I recombine them through color and composition, they evoke fresh sensations. Capturing the intensity and joy I feel when lured to the wonders of the physical work and sharing my works to elicit the same kind of happiness is one of my principle goals as an artist.
