The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Kelly Dawson
Bio
Kelly Dawson is a self-taught artist who was born into the world of auto racing. She made a career in the sport for a number of years. Always attracted to the color, lights and fanfare of the sport more than the sport itself. When the tragedies that would happen at the track became too much, she gave up that world to devote her time to her art.
Artist Statement
“I don’t know what i’m doing” – terrifying or maybe freeing words, but they are the words i use most often.
when asked what medium i work with, i say all of them. being self-taught means i’m only restrained by a few laws of science, government and my own imagination. science tells my what can’t happen, government tells me what shouldn’t happen and imagination is only controlled by my own whims.
