The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Artist Statement

I spent a large part of my life trying to find and keep the balance, the place where conflict was resolved, and goodness and beauty remained center and unchanged. Art was one more way to make permanent gratitude or reflect on what defies understanding. I had appreciated the premise of “Catcher in the Rye” liking museums because things stayed the same there. Now museums have stopped being stagnant and though life never was, its change is faster than ever. Satellites speed to photo a Blackhole and life is captured in “Instagram/s”. I came to appreciate life as moments of change, the ripple of water, the wind in the willow, inclement or pleasant. To quote Mark Twain “If you don’t like the weather in New England now just wait a few minutes. This is said of Cleveland weather also. Impermanent as it is ugly will pass and so will beauty and so will life. Moments of vision stimulate or fascinate me. My eyes direct me to the thoughts that become my art for whoever wants to look and listen.
