The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Artist Statement
My artwork’s content is found in culture, especially current events, and social issues. I use found images and found objects and text to make sculpture, assemblages, and digital prints. My ideas may take me on a search for appropriate materials or the materials themselves might yield possibilities. I like to exploit a familiar idea or object and bring it into a new reality. In this way I involve the viewer as they see recognizable subject matter. The use of text also serves as a way to get the viewer involved and adds to the form as a decorative skin. In all three forms I am interested in the element of space. The form of my artwork reveals the content.
