The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio
I’m a 67 year old late in life photographer. I began a more serious career in photography in 2012.
I worked as an office manager for 32 years at the Summit County Public Defender Office from 1989 to 2021.
I’m born and raised in Ohio with a brief 3 yr stint in Florida in 1978-1981.
I have two grown children and 3 grandchildren, a Jack Russell Bella and two cats Ziggy and Lexi. I also raise Monarchs and take care of my hummingbirds, local wildlife/birds and my stray cats who are all spayed/neutered and have a loving home. I love to garden but most of my outdoor time during the summer is taking care of the Monarchs, from eggs to flight as a butterfly.
I have 3 photos in a permanent installation in Barberton Summa Hospital; 1 photo in a permanent installation in the Rhodes Tower tunnel in Columbus, celebrating the 4 seasons of Ohio. Twice my work has been chosen for a project called Akron On Deck where local artists have been featured in a deck of cards for promotion in Akron. The most recent being Akron on Deck III the Bicentennial Issue. Currently my work is on display at a temporary installation at the Summit Metro Regional Transit Authority terminal through the end of March. I am a member of the Artists of Rubber City, the Summit Artspace where I am a resident artist with my studio there. I have won several awards from exhibitions I’ve entered as well as sold several pieces in those exhibitions. My genre of work covers everything from A to Z. Whatever my eye sees that appeals to me. It can be very eclectic and abstract or very peaceful nature images, but no matter what the image is, I strive to keep it as natural as possible with little editing. Sometimes though, an image will speak to me to try a different approach with it.
