The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio
I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. When I was a child of 8, my family emigrated from Germany at the beginning of WWII. We had to leave everything behind, and during all of my childhood, I wished I could see baby pictures of myself as well as pictures of my family. After the war, my aunt and uncle, who had remained in Germany, sent us a few of the remaining pictures I was so eager to have and which I treasure to this day.
The wonders of photography were embedded in my being. When I got my first camera at age 10, I started shooting and have never stopped. I enjoy photographing just about any subject, whatever catches my eye. For years, I shot pictures solely for my own enjoyment until one day a friend said, “You need to do something with these pictures.”
I took that suggestion to heart and have had a number of solo exhibit and have participated in multiple group exhibits with the Clintonville Arts Guild and the Worthington Area Art League. My work has sold to clients in Spain, England, Russia, the Azores Islands, Ireland, and Canada as well as in a number of states in the U.S.
A self-taught photographer, I rely on my eye and my instincts to capture images that I think tell a story. A world traveler, I love sharing these views.
