The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio
Hannah Maltry is a watercolor artist based in Westerville, Ohio. Her vaguely spooky art style, influenced by mid-century fine art and illustrations, features intensely minimal, geometric shapes and clean lines that uniquely interpret the world around her.
Formally educated at Francis Marion University in South Carolina, Hannah’s professional journey began in graphic design before she transitioned into fine art. This evolution is evident in her work, which merges the structured, graphic nature of design with the fluidity of watercolor. Her art has been displayed in galleries across the country, from Texas to North and South Carolina, as well as across the Midwest.
Hannah is currently painting every bird in North America. She combines stark compositions, bold watercolor washes, and delicate line details to depict these wonderfully odd creatures. Creating pieces that reflect both her determination and her unique way of seeing the natural world around us all.
Artist Statement
I am a watercolor artist on a mission to paint every bird in North America. My work is minimal, hard-edged, and geometric. Each bird is rendered to scale, with sharp attention to anatomical accuracy and an equally rigorous effort to capture its unique personality. This project is both an obsessive catalog and a celebration of avian life, driven by discipline, curiosity, and a deep respect for the wild.
