The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Grace Peterson

Bio

Grace Peterson is an interdisciplinary artist and educator inspired by her recent experience fostering arts-based learning at Kenyon College. She utilizes self-taught fiber arts techniques—such as crochet, lace-making, and natural dyeing—and frequently incorporates repurposed plastic waste and imagery from local ecosystems into her work, exploring human-nature relationships.

After graduating from Kenyon College in 2022 with a B.A. in Sociology, a concentration in Law and Society, and minors in German and Philosophy, she completed a two-year post-baccalaureate fellowship at The Gund, a teaching museum on Kenyon’s campus. She collaborated with Kenyon faculty and staff to integrate unique arts-based learning experiences into the liberal arts curriculum. In addition to developing unique engagements for courses in her undergraduate areas of study, she spearheaded an initiative incorporating in-gallery language learning into Kenyon’s introductory-level language courses. Peterson also developed hands-on art-centered learning experiences at The Annex, a storefront extension of The Gund offering free public programming in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
