The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Fia Soisson
ArtistBio
Fia Soisson is a senior majoring in graphic design at the Columbus College of Art & Design in Ohio. They will be graduating with a BFA in the spring of 2024. While Fia is majoring in graphic design, they enjoy experimenting with other mediums and styles of art outside of their major. Most of their works consist of acrylic paintings or digital art and they often include doodles as part of their artwork. Fia has been making their way into the Columbus art community by participating in live painting at Scrawl 16 in Franklinton and the 2023 Summer Spray in the Short North. Along with painting multiple murals, they had a solo exhibition for the Summer Spray series in 2023.
Artist Statement
Fia likes to include a playful aspect to each art piece by including doodles. They often make acrylic paintings and digital artworks. Their paintings mainly comprise a semi-realistic background and doodles interacting with it. Most of the subjects and themes they paint are still life or a nature scene. They are always open to experimenting with new mediums or styles of painting.
Fia’s digital pieces are combinations of design and drawing. They enjoy making their doodles into shirt and sticker designs. Doodle designs are what they make for movies, shows, or musicians that they enjoy. They will take aspects of the movie or show and turn them into a sticker design that features their iconic doodle people. Along with their fan art of doodle designs, they have their original series called “Your Doodle Pals”. The doodle pal designs feature the doodles exploring different landscapes of this world and beyond.
