The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Erin Cameron
Visual ArtistBio
Erin Cameron is a visual artist currently based in Columbus, Ohio. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio she later moved to Central Ohio to attend Ohio Wesleyan University where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with concentrations in drawing, painting and printmaking. She received her Master of Fine Arts in printmaking from The Ohio State University.
The primary subjects of her artwork are almost always human but reference disparate themes that shape our perception of the world, often including advertising and digital media, the internet, contemporary social and political concerns, and how they influence our relationships with other people. Her drawings and paintings typically incorporate abstracted figurative arrangements and seek to challenge dominant, simplistic narratives in mass produced imagery. Much of her work relates to a long-held interest in how women, especially, are represented in the media. She creates artwork that questions this presentation by reimagining and distorting content from magazine clippings, advertisements, and various media collected from everyday sources. This interest has only grown with the steady stream of visual stimuli from social media and the internet that we all consume daily.
