The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio
Erika Pickrell studied Fine Arts at the Columbus College of Art and Design as well as The Ohio State University, where she received her BFA in Painting and Drawing in 2002. Since then, she has lived and worked in Ohio and Texas. She has shown her work in restaurants and galleries in Columbus and Dallas and her work is in many private collections. She currently makes artwork from her home studio in Columbus.
Artist Statement
I love going on adventures. When I explore the areas around my home, I feel like I am transported into another universe. My paintings and drawings reflect my other universe – what I see when I walk through the parks and neighborhoods around the area and when I drive down the road. I explore architectural and botanical elements through line, color, and shapes. I seek to make images that invite escape, fun, and the creation of a good story.
