The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.
For more information, contact Kathy Signorino, artist programs director, at kathy.signorino@oac.ohio.gov or 614-728-6140.

Bio

I learned photography in my teens, and I am still going strong almost fifty years later. Along the way, I have had the chance to work with just about every photographic medium and style. These days I shoot exclusively digitally and, more often than not, on my phone, preferring to focus on the subject rather than the equipment.

Artist Statement

My goal in photography is to let people stop for a moment to see the ordinary from a new perspective. It is all too easy to go about our lives, experiencing the same things day after day, assuming we know the whole truth of what we experience. It is only when the ordinary is taken out of our day-to-day context, do we experience things anew without our preconceived assumptions.

I like to think of my photography as a meditation in experiencing the ordinary as novel.
