The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio
Dariyonna Makale Fields Armour
Born in Toledo Ohio. I lived in Detroit Michigan for the first few years of my adolescence. In 7th grade, I moved to Sylvania Ohio. As a teen, I was always involved in creative extracurricular activities such as Cheerleading, Art, Musicals, Choir, and occasional running in my free time. I later graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a Fine Arts Minor. Naturally from a young age Art was a form of peace for me. It was the one thing I knew I was good at. Throughout the years I faced challenges with my mental illness. Which led me to find work in the mental health field for a few years. I obtained my Certified Peer Recovery Supporter Certifications. In this next chapter of my life, it’s time for me to explore my inner artist and let her finally be seen and soar.
Artist Statement
Every line and paint stroke tells a story if you look closely you can see a version of me in each piece of work. My art is the rawest form of self-expression. Even the doodles have depth. My art reflects who I am, was, and possibly who I will be.
