The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.
For more information, contact Kathy Signorino, artist programs director, at kathy.signorino@oac.ohio.gov or 614-728-6140.

Bio

My name is Daniel Lozada, I’m a professional photographer based in Cleveland, OH specializing in editorial and commercial imagery. My portfolio showcases a diverse range of subjects, from striking portraiture to candid life moments or still life. I try to define my work by sophisticated problem solving through knowledge of light and composition as well as an authenticity that is drawn from each subject to elicit an emotional response from the viewer to feel as if they were there when the shutter was pressed. Select clients include: The New York Times, Food Network, Fanatics, NBC Universal, Men’s Health, Bloomberg, NPR, Cleveland Museum of Art, The Los Angeles Times and more.

I was born and raised in Cleveland, OH – Attended Bible college in Virginia Beach – Pivoted out of ministry to pursue photography self-taught in 2011 – Sucked at photography for a long time – Worked for Apple – Lived in New York City – Returned to Cleveland in 2019 – Accepted into Diversify Photo in 2020 –  Full-time photographer since 2021.

Artist Statement

I love photography and I love learning how to better my craft, but I really hate artist statements.
