The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

Camara (Cam) Goodrich, is the founder and owner of, Cam Creates Art Studio, located in North Ridgeville, Ohio. She is an award winning, international artist.

Currently, Cam hopes to attain the board member position of, Artist Advisor, of Fire Fish Arts in Lorain County. She is a leading member of Art Addicts Anonymous, a member of Berea Fine Arts Club and the recipient of the, LORAIN Public Library System-South branch, Maker in Residence, residency.

Cam’s artistic journey began under the tutelage of her mother, at a very young age. In elementary school, her talent was recognized by teachers and Cam was elevated to a talented arts program. After graduating from high school, art became a pastime for her.

After becoming a wife and raising her children, Cam relocated to Ohio, in 2018. Here is where she reinvented herself after a near-fatal motorcycle accident. Cam opened, Cam Creates Art Studio, and became a full-time multidisciplinary artist, who enjoys exploring and experimenting with different techniques, disciplines, mediums, and supports.

Cam is diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, which she is convinced, supplies her with an endless array of subject matter to create from. She also uses her art to overcome the symptoms of her disorder, freeing her from certain treatments such as medications.

Teaching art to students of all ages and levels is something that Cam is passionate about. She specializes in helping those suffering from mental health and/ or addiction, in her classes, “Art as a Therapeutic “Resource”. and “Soul Soothing Art”. In a different class, Cam mentors other artists, to understand and excel at, “The Business Side of Art, A-Z”. Other classes Cam teaches are, “Texture Time”, “Sippy Cup & Paint” and “3D, Mixed Media, Music Art”.

My Recovery Day Jam at Cleveland Museum of Rock and Roll

2022

In November of 2022, I was fortunate enough to be one of a selective few artists to be asked to donate artworks in an effort to raise money to support a non profit entity called, “My Recovery Day Jam’. This event was a private, ticketed live event (also streamed nationwide to multiple rehab facilities), where 2 of my artworks was exhibited in a silent action at the iconic Museum of Rock and Roll, in Cleveland, Ohio. Both pieces sold to private collectors at this exclusive event!
