The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Artist Statement
As an artist captivated by the elegance of geometric abstraction, my work draws deep inspiration from mid-century modern design. My creative process is a journey of emotion, expressed vividly through the interplay of colors and shapes. With no predetermined agenda, my intuitive approach allows each piece to flow organically from my mind to the canvas, led by the emotion tied to each hue.
My subject matter consistently revolves around my passion for mid-century modern aesthetics, often envisioning my paintings within the stunning homes of Palm Springs. The whimsy of my artwork brings compositions to life, evolving naturally throughout the creative process.
The magic of beautiful home interiors and the legacy of abstract artists such as Stanley Whitney and Joan Mitchell fuel my inspiration, pushing me to explore and innovate within my artistic expression.
My unique technique is characterized by the meticulous layering of colors. I start by cloaking the canvas in deep shades like black or brown, subsequently building up layers that alternate between cool and warm tones, occasionally blending both. This layered complexity is achieved through the use of various brushes, palette knives, and scrapers, each contributing to the distinct texture and depth of my work.
Through the dance of colors and forms, my art not only reflects my emotional landscape but also invites viewers to embark on their own journey of sensory exploration and appreciation.
