The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio
To create and perform innovative dance theatre at a high level of artistry, speak
creatively about human life issues, and bring about personal development in the lives
of individuals through training and mentoring.
Founded in 2001 by Executive/Artistic Director Bill Wade, Inlet embodies Bill‘s long
standing belief that dance viewing, training and performing experiences may serve as
tools to bring about personal growth and development. Inlet’s aesthetic is rooted in
American Modern Dance including Erick Hawkins-based release technique, Alison
Chase/Pilobolus based non-traditional partnering, and structured improvisation. During
its 25-year history, Inlet has evolved from a small dance company with local impact into
a celebrated organization that reaches people on an international level.
Inlet Dance Theatre is an outgrowth of Bill Wade’s previous eleven years as
Artist in Residence at Cleveland School of the Arts in the 1990’s where he used
dance to transform the lives of at-risk adolescent boys. Inlet, under Bill’s
leadership, has earned an international reputation for artistic and education
programming excellence. Bill is a nationally sought-after choreographer and
educator and the recipient of numerous local, regional and national awards
including the 2012 Cleveland Arts Prize, an award for Outstanding Contributions
to the Advancement of the Dance Art Form from OhioDance in 2013, and the
Coming Up Taller Award from the National Endowment for the Arts and the
President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities in 1998.
