The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Artist Statement
Much of my work relies on and is inspired by the joy of direct observation of nature, and the celebration of beauty found in the smallest of details. The observable world – the vastness of landscapes, the grain of a stone, the feather pattern of a bird’s wing, a tree’s leaf pattern against the sky – these are some of my muses. Painting is an energizing process of comprehension and meditation. Modern myths, rituals, and liminal space serve as core concepts in my paintings. My choice of objects, point-of-view and odd juxtapositions are attempts to playfully answer questions about our diverse relationships with nature. I strive to draw the observer into the world of the painting to discover beauty in the details and invent their own myths, rituals and inner experiences.
