The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.
For more information, contact Kathy Signorino, artist programs director, at kathy.signorino@oac.ohio.gov or 614-728-6140.

Artist Statement

My photography is informed by my early career studies with Minor White and Nicholas Hlobeczy. The works are the expression of search for presence:

  • … in my subjects,
  • … in me- the photographer,
  • … in the photographs that emerge and
  • … in the audience.

My images are my passion for the photographic process in fine art.

Since 1971 my work has appeared in numerous one person and group exhibitions. I am represented in many corporate and individual collections, and have received citations and awards periodically.  I recently retired from teaching advanced black and white, color and digital photography at the Case Western Reserve University Art Studios.  In 2011, I was inducted into the American Advertising Federation Hall of Fame. My photographic monograph- The Lake View Cemetery: Photographs from Cleveland’s Historic Landmark, is published by the University of Akron Press.
