Bio
Not unlike most creatives, I have honed a number of mediums. Working on mosaics with found or recycled items has been my favorite creative outlet for the last 20 years. I’ve also included some of my ceramic pieces in my mosaics combining two loves.
I particularly like to state and illustrate spiritual beliefs with Scrabble or Bananagram tiles in my mosaics. Bringing these statements to life is a great challenge (with recycled items) and, I believe, emphasizes the statement in a unique way.
I have taught mosaics and general art basics classes at home to adults and children for over 25 years. My artistry took first notice at 13 years old with charcoal portraits. I have enjoyed many creative outlets since.
Although I’ve lived in Ohio for most of my adult life, my Louisiana roots still run deep. Born in New York and raised in Florida and Louisiana, I began my creative journey in Baton Rouge with the influences of the colorful culture of the deep south.
