The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.
For more information, contact Kathy Signorino, artist programs director, at kathy.signorino@oac.ohio.gov or 614-728-6140.

Bio

Past experiences and current social and political trends affecting local community provide her with fuel for art making. A union strike sign, Scantron test form, negotiation paper or a discarded shooting target become materials necessary to signify the psychology of current adverse realities that many people face in their daily lives. Her creative re use and reorganization of these nontraditional materials become a dynamic visual format to encourage valuable commentary and discussion among viewers. The investigation of the perception of power is her motivation and intrigue while creating collage and mixed media from her immediate surroundings.

Fihe’s long history of work with youth and community arts education programming have strengthened her voice for advocacy. She continues to teach public high school and community college graphic design program in the Central Ohio area.
