How Charming

How Charming by The Schnooks, Released on October 10, 2024. Recorded at Kvetchin' Records, Batavia, Ohio.

This is an example of a pretty straight forward indie pop song that I have written. It is comprised of guitars, bass, drums, vocals, and a little bit of synth. The song itself is my take on the well used topic of unrequited love, with the main character being too nervous to approach their crush, but imagines that they could.

Something's Wrong

Something's Wrong by The Schnooks, Released on October 02, 2024. Recorded at Kvetchin' Records, Batavia, Ohio.

This track is an alternative/stoner rock song which touches on the topic of toxic relationships and the realization that the main character needs to "get away" from the situation. This track contains 3 guitars, bass, drums, synth, and vocals.

Lemonade

Lemonade by The Patterson Bernhard Project, Released on October 6, 2024. Recorded at Kvetchin' Records, Batavia, Ohio.

This is an example of an electronic song that was written for a different project, The Patterson Bernhard Project. This song features mostly programmed synthesizer and drums with some live synth in the mix. Lyrics and vocals provided by Alice Patterson.

Overwhelmed

Overwhelmed by The Patterson Bernhard Project, Released on October 6, 2024. Recorded at Kvetchin' Records, Batavia, Ohio.

This song, written and sung by Alice Patterson, is about the loss of her former boyfriend who was extremely ill and on dialysis. It features guitar, live drums, programmed drums, synth bass, and vocals. A close listen at the very end of the track will reveal a "heartbeat" that the song ends on.

So Distant

So Distant by The Schnooks, Released on August 23, 2022. Recorded at Kvetchin' Records, Batavia, Ohio.

This is an example of a lo-fi song that I had written toward the beginning of The Schnooks' creation. It is only 4 lines of vocals which express a longing for when things were just… better. Specifically, it was an expression of how I felt at the time in regards to my career and life that I had prior to becoming disabled. This song contains programmed drums, synth, and a Rhodes style piano played through an envelope filter.
