MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH, NOT IN YOUR HAND

52″ diameter, Shaped Oil Painting, $15000.

Quinones captures this nostalgic M&M candy treat and blends Photorealism with Pop Art to create this amazing circular painting of pure delight. One can almost see the goodness in the intense colorful candy coating while anticipating the chocolate center.

EGGE IN THE ROUND

52″ diameter, Shaped Acrylic Painting, NFS

Quinones cleverly generates this shaped painting of eggs that appear to pop off the canvas. In contrast, the tranquil decorative platter attempts to encircle the eggs with a flowing floral design that moves your eyes around the edges of the canvas surface.

POP ART, ZERO CALORIES

52″ diameter, Shaped Oil Painting, $15000.

Using Photorealism, Quinones interprets this circular geometric metal surface with organic flowing liquid complete with effervescent bubbles giving this painting movement and rhythm and, of course, zero calories!

DUBBLE BUBBLE

52″ diameter, Shaped Oil Painting, $15000.

Jose Luis Quinones’ passion for perfection blends Photorealism with Pop Art to produce this nostalgic look at iconic bubblegum from long ago. Boldly colored gumballs are juxtaposed with shadows on the picture surface, creating an illusion of dimensional depth.

GLOBE GRAPES

52″ diameter, Shaped Oil Painting, $15000.

“Globe Grapes” is one in a series of circular paintings Quinones recently investigates to create a two-dimensional surface into a three-dimensional illusion. This is one of the few acrylic paintings that Quinones executed. One can almost feel the stretching of the saran wrap that generates stress over the surface while the bunch of grapes on top of the plastic extends beyond the plane.

JAPANESE GLASS FISHING FLOATS

52″ diameter, Shaped Oil Painting, $15000.

This oil painting is rich in color with beautiful reflections and interesting transparencies that add to the depth of the overlapping forms. In contrast, the metallic container catches your attention with the rippled repetitive circles of the inner can surface.

CAMPBELLS TOMATO SOUP

Shaped Oil Painting, $18000.

Campbell’s Tomato Juice is one in a series of crushed cans made by artist Jose Luis Quinones. Quinones was fascinated with the rippled surface of the can in this oil painting and recognized the iconic symbol of Campbells in the Pop Art culture. He interpreted the shaped Photorealistic image by blending it with Pop Art to create this interesting rendition.

REAL POP ART

52″ diameter, Shaped Acrylic Painting, $15000.

Jose Luis Quinones captures the minuscule bubbles with the aid of a camera as a fleeting moment in time on the metallic surface, adding to the reality of the moment in this acrylic painting. Quinones selects everyday objects and executes them into a photorealistic acrylic painting, blending Pop Art and Realism together.
