The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.
For more information, contact Kathy Signorino, artist programs director, at kathy.signorino@oac.ohio.gov or 614-728-6140.

Bio

I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. I have lived in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and now back in Ohio for now. I’m primarily a self-taught abstract artist.

I’m disabled due to failed back syndrome of the cervical spine. This caused nerve root damage, which impacts the use of my arms and hands. This means I’m no longer able to do charcoal drawings or wire art anymore. Last summer I had a second ACDF surgery and now I have four vertebra fused together, which limits range of motion in the neck. I still feel the need to make art. My art has always been inspired by emotions, dreams, and the world around me.

I enjoy creating abstract art with vibrant colors. I love creating using different mediums, such as alcohol inks, acrylics, charcoals, fibers,  6mm – 8mmcords, and the computer.

Artist Statement

Creating art in any form brings me joy, I hope my art brings others joy as well.
