The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

I have been an artist as long as I can remember.  Starting in grade school, I took a keen interest in drawing, sketching trucks and doodling.  Art was always my favorite class in school.  My love for art really took off in high school, where my mentor, Michael Seiler, taught me to express myself in my art.  I began creating social awareness pieces and portraits from pictures that really captivated me.

After high school, I have continued making art and self-teaching in order to improve my talents.

 

Artist Statement

Art for me has always been therapeutic, however, it is also something I must be motivated to do. It is not uncommon for me to go years between creating anything, or even picking up a pencil.  My mediums range from pencil, to paint, to collages.  I like the challenge of taking on a medium I am not familiar with.  I also have a marketing background with extensive experience in logo, flyer and other graphic designs.
