The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

Creative with over thirty years of graphic design, print publishing, and public relations experience, seasoned photographer, former technology instructor at Apple, Inc.

For over eight years, I dedicated myself to supporting and promoting Denver artists and galleries, particularly in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe. While I worked primarily in photography, I also provided social media and graphic design services to many of the district’s artists and galleries.

Recently, as a member of Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe Board of Directors, I was committed to advancing the concerns of the art district, its members, supporters, and the broader community.

My graphic design experience includes logo and identity design, social media graphics, and news page design and layout as art director at a monthly sports and recreation magazine.

As a social media manager for a public relations firm in New York City, I’ve written social media posts for celebrities such as Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo (so, the Hulk and, you know, the Hulk), Susan Sarandon, John Leguizamo, and Private Joker himself, Matthew Modine.

In 2022, I was awarded a residency in the Art District On Santa Fe. While simply participating as a fine art photographer would have been rewarding, I decided to turn my opportunity on its head, focusing my residency on the art district itself. I decided to give the project a name: ratherMETA. Once my residency ended, I continued my mission to raise the profiles of artists and galleries in the art district and elsewhere in Denver.

My wife and I relocated to Youngstown in February 2025. I hope to continue my art advocacy and photography work here.

Artist Statement

My photography practice often attempts to highlight observable yet often overlooked moments and find significance in the seemingly mundane.
