The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio
Originally from Mount Kisco, New York, I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, where he attended Ursuline High School and Youngstown State University. While working towards my undergraduate degree in music, I played trumpet and arranged music for rhythm and blues bands. In the early 1980s, I began traveling extensively with his first professional camera, refining my photography skills by capturing publicity shots and portraits of the bands and musicians I encountered.
As the founder of Keynote Media Group, a public relations and marketing firm, photography became a vital component of my business, allowing me to create compelling images for marketing campaigns on local, national, and international levels.
In the Fall of 2024, I showcased his first solo photo exhibition, entitled FACADES at The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown. Additionally, my work was selected for the Butler’s Area Artists Exhibition in 2023, 2024, and 2025. In 2025, I also have had four additional solo exhibitions, including the Museum of Labor and Industry in Youngstown, OH, and the Trumbull Art Gallery in Warren, OH, as well as six individual juried selections in Las Vegas, NV, Bethlehem, PA, New Castle, PA, and Denver, CO. In 2026, his work was exhibited in the Bryn Du Gallery in Granville, OH; The Robert A. Pecks Art Center, Riverton WY; The Pinwheel Gallery in Cleveland, OH; and The Gallery at Arts Illiana, Fort Wayne, IN. My 21-piece solo exhibition of photomontages opens in July of 2026 at the Oxford Museum of Art in Oxford, Ohio.
Currently, I remain actively engaged as a marketing consultant, corporate film producer, and dedicated, passionate freelance photographer.
Artist Statement
REAL LIFE PHOTOGRAPHY
As a photographer, my primary goal is to capture life in the moment—without extensive planning or staging. My passion is driven by spontaneous discovery. The images I value most are those that compelled me to pause or abruptly turn the car around. It could be a building I’ve seen countless times, but at that instant, the subject, light and clouds align perfectly, or perhaps it’s people going about their daily routines, or everyday objects seen from a fresh perspective.
Like many in my profession, I perceive the world as a collection of still images. I believe our memories function similarly. When we reflect on our lives, we don’t always see those experiences as a fully realized cinéma vérité film, but as individual frames lingering long enough to elicit a smile or a whimper.
In my world, a captivating image embodies an unexpected angle, fascinating imperfection, and/or a delightful surprise—just like life itself.
