The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

Rachel Z. Meyer mainly works in mixed media collage, ink, and printmaking mediums but likes to continuously experiment. Rachel uses a lot of found paper and paper scraps. She enjoys the challenge and meaning behind using bits that would have otherwise been thrown out. Rachel loves swimming and the ocean so she has a lot of water themes in her work. She graduated from Macalester College in 2018 with a BA in studio art. She featured her work at the Yellow Springs Arts Council for her exhibition Sojourning and has shown work in juried exhibitions with the Ohio Art League, Miamisburg Art Gallery, and Dayton Artists Society’s Art in the City. Usually she likes to do work that is whimsical and fun or nostalgic and finds nature, astronomy, physics, and mathematics very inspiring. It is important to her to make art that is relatable to all kinds of people.
