The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

Polina Isurin is a two-time immigrant who has exhibited domestically and abroad. Her cross-cultural and bilingual upbringing influence her exploration into how the sites and remnants of memories structure culture, society, and identity. She received her BFA in Drawing and Painting from The Ohio State University, her MFA in Studio Art from Tufts University, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Arts Administration, Education and Policy with a concentration in Art Education, from The Ohio State University. Her research interests include Arts-Based-Research, memory studies, visual culture, and interdisciplinary education. She is interested in exploring the starting points of a memory, uncovering the intersections between individual and collective memories, and building a bridge between the engagement of memory in the public realm and memory in an art classroom. Polina’s interdisciplinary art practice has always been dependent upon utilizing the medium most appropriate for the concept.
