The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond,  to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio

Art Biography of Patricia (Trish) Brady Patricia (Trish) Brady has been creating artwork since she was first introduced to a box of Crayola Crayons. She took the general art education class in elementary, high school and career center, but It wasn’t until she reached her adulthood that she started creating artwork seriously as a professional Artist. Trish has utilized her art skills for profit at church and businesses by creating anniversary programs, portraits as well as creating art images for a rubber-stamping company. She has had her artwork displayed in the Ohio State Fair Exhibition and various online art exhibitions. Most of her artwork can be found in home galleries and have been seen in the lobby of the State of Ohio government buildings. Trish has affiliated Artist memberships with local art organizations such as The Ohio Art League, Columbus Makes Art/Art Makes Columbus and the Greater Columbus Arts Council. In 2016, Trish was nominated by her peers for the Ohio Governor’s Art Award. She didn’t receive an art award that year, but Trish’s love and appreciation has reached beyond creating artwork. She shows her support for the arts through advocacy and has sponsored a table at the 2016 Governor’s Art Award Luncheon under her trade name, “Art Images by Trish”. Trish reaches out in her local community and shares her techniques of art with neighborhood kids, family youths and assists in arts and crafts with those who show a keen interest in the arts. Though Trish’s artistic subjects are versatile ranging from scenic, to animal portraits, her favorite of all to create are human portraits!

Artist Statement

Art is a continuous evolution and your art will continue to change with time. Every Artist has to learn patient with themselves. I use to compare my artwork with other artists artwork and I would say to myself “If only I could create artwork that looked as great as that!” Until, one day it came to me to stop comparing my artwork with others. A realization settled in that my artwork is unique as I am. That it has a place in the art world alongside every artist that expresses their own unique styles and that not all artwork appeals to everyone, but it will appeal to someone!
