The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bio
Michele BonDurant is a painter/mixed media artist based in Dayton, Ohio receiving a BFA from Wright State University. BonDurant finds and frames the everyday in her observational landscapes and cut paper paintings. Her spare, calculated style reflects both contentment in the ordinary, and an interest in heightened drama through the use of pattern and shadow. BonDurant’s works have been exhibited nationally including the Prince Street Gallery and First Street Gallery in NYC, The Brand Library, Glendale, California, The Maryland Federation of Art Circle Gallery, The Riffe Gallery, Columbus, Ohio, Wright State University, Robert and Elaine Stein Gallery, the Contemporary Dayton and Dutoit Gallery, Dayton. BonDurant has studied under painter Lois Dodd, Elizabeth O’Reilly and Jean Koeller. This led to a residency at Vermont Studio Center, an invitation to Cranberry island to paint with the Heliker La Hoten Foundation, Cranberry Island and a residency with the Arc of Appalachia Artists in Sanctuary. She is member of the First Street Gallery co-op in New York.
