The Ohio Artist Registry (OAR) is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their work, connect with the creative community, and establish an online presence—all on a free, virtual platform! The OAR encourages artists working in all art forms, throughout Ohio and beyond, to create a profile, which allows them to better promote themselves and their work. Being listed in the OAR provides artists with new opportunities to share their work with clients, galleries, patrons, and audiences. A listing in the OAR does not confer an endorsement, approval, or verification by the Ohio Arts Council.

Artist Statement
I am a long time amateur photographer, working mostly in black and white film. I started in high school, continued somewhat seriously after college, then began darkroom work in the late ‘70s. I joined a camera club at work, then joined the Photographic Society of America. PSA offered lots of educational opportunities and amateur exhibition opportunities. Exhibitions in the U.S., Germany, Taiwan, England, and France accepted my work.
In the 1990s, I started in the so called fine art exhibitions. My work has been accepted in the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition most years since 1995, and I won two Honorable Mentions. My work has also been accepted in the Riffe Gallery Juried, Nelsonville, Piqua, the Firelands Association of the Visual Arts in Oberlin, and the Zanesville All Ohio (Best Photograph in 2019).
In 2005, I was awarded a Dresden Residency by the Greater Columbus Arts Council. I also had residencies in Mallorca, Spain in 2008, and in Akureyrie, Iceland in 2013.
I am currently a member of the Westbridge Camera Club in Columbus, the Fotoklub Exakta in Dresden, Germany (a sister city of Columbus), and the Ohio Art League.
